These terms cover Shadow's text message alerts. Shadow is owned and operated by Dark Pilot LLC. Messages are sent from 1-888-844-9872.
Shadow sends recurring alerts about your account: a notice when something in your household's care record needs your attention, a help request from the Shadow tablet, or a device that has gone unreachable. Messages are generic by design — they tell you to sign in, and they contain no details of anyone's care.
This is not a marketing program. Shadow does not send promotional text messages.
You opt in inside Shadow, by checking the text message box on your own account and entering your own mobile number. The box is optional and is never pre-checked. Nobody else can turn text messages on for your number.
After you opt in, Shadow sends one confirmation message:
Shadow: You are subscribed to recurring alerts about your account. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using Shadow. Every alert is also available by email and in Shadow itself.
Message frequency varies. Shadow sends a text when something happens that you have chosen to be told about, so the number depends on your settings and your household's activity. When everything is fine, there are no messages.
Shadow does not charge for text messages. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
Reply HELP to any Shadow message and you will receive:
Shadow Support: For help, open Shadow or contact your household administrator. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.
You can also email support@shadowapp.co.
Reply STOP to any Shadow message to stop all text messages to that number. You will receive one confirmation, and then no further texts. You can also turn text messages off at any time in your Shadow settings.
Stopping texts does not close your account and does not turn off email or the alerts inside Shadow. To start texts again, opt in again from your Shadow settings — a carrier STOP cannot be reversed by anyone but you.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed, and Shadow should not be relied on as the only way anyone learns about an urgent situation. Every event is also recorded in Shadow itself.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. How Shadow handles your information is described in the Privacy Policy.
